Terms

Terms for using Teach Champs.

These terms outline expectations for using the Teach Champs website, tutoring marketplace, bookings, payments, messages, and online class rooms.

Last updated: July 6, 2026

Acceptance of terms

By using the Teach Champs website or platform, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use Teach Champs.

Teach Champs may update these terms from time to time. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.

Teach Champs marketplace

Teach Champs operates an online tutoring marketplace for K-12 families. The platform helps families find tutors, compare profiles, communicate, book online lessons, make payments, join class rooms, and access related support tools.

Tutors are independent providers, not employees of Teach Champs. Teach Champs does not control every statement a tutor makes, every teaching method a tutor uses, or every result a student may experience.

Accounts and eligibility

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information, keep your account credentials secure, use Teach Champs lawfully, and avoid interfering with the operation, availability, or security of the platform.

Teach Champs may require email verification, country information, identity checks, payment information, payout information, profile review, or other eligibility steps before certain features are available.

You are responsible for activity under your account unless you promptly notify us of unauthorized use and the activity was not caused by your own failure to protect account access.

Parents, guardians, and students

Parents and guardians are responsible for deciding whether a tutor, subject, schedule, lesson format, tutor claims, pricing, and online class environment are appropriate for their child.

Parents and guardians must provide consent and supervision for minors using Teach Champs, including consent for student profile information, parent-tutor communications, class participation, and required class recordings.

Students should use Teach Champs only with parent or guardian involvement. Parents and guardians are responsible for the information they provide about students and for ensuring students follow these terms.

Tutor responsibilities

Tutors are responsible for keeping profile information, qualifications, subjects, availability, pricing, payout details, and communications accurate and professional.

Tutor accounts may require identity verification through Didit, qualification documents, profile information, proof uploads, agreements, payout setup, and other review steps before a tutor can be publicly listed or receive payouts.

Teach Champs may accept, reject, suspend, unlist, remove, or request changes to tutor profiles at its discretion, especially where information is incomplete, inaccurate, unverifiable, unsafe, misleading, or inconsistent with platform policies.

Verification and profile claims

Teach Champs may review identity, country, credentials, profile materials, and other tutor information, but verification does not guarantee that a tutor is safe, qualified for a particular student, available for every requested time, or able to deliver a particular learning outcome.

Users are responsible for reviewing tutor profiles, asking appropriate questions, evaluating tutor claims, monitoring lessons, and deciding whether to continue working with a tutor.

Bookings, payments, and cancellations

Parents book paid lessons through the platform. Lesson details, tutor information, pricing, timing, cancellation rules, and refund eligibility should be reviewed before booking.

Teach Champs uses Stripe and related payment infrastructure to process parent payments, refunds, disputes, tutor payout workflows, and payment records. Payment truth comes from payment-provider records and platform records, not from a browser redirect alone.

Unless stated otherwise in the booking flow, eligible parent cancellations receive a full refund until 24 hours before the scheduled lesson start. Later cancellations are support-managed and may not be refundable.

Tutor earnings are calculated through Teach Champs records and are paid through supported payout workflows. Tutors are responsible for keeping payout information accurate and complying with tax or reporting obligations that apply to them.

Safety and conduct

Users must not harass, threaten, exploit, discriminate against, deceive, spam, impersonate, pressure, or otherwise harm other users. Users must not attempt to bypass Teach Champs payments, platform controls, class-room rules, or safety processes.

Teach Champs may review safety concerns and take action including warning, suspension, removal, unlisting, payout hold, support review, or reporting to appropriate authorities.

Class rooms and recordings

Online tutoring sessions are hosted through Teach Champs-supported class-room tools and may include audio, video, chat, screen sharing, whiteboard, attendance, and recording features.

Class recordings are required and non-optional. Parents, guardians, tutors, and students should not join a class if they do not consent to the recording and related processing described in the Privacy Policy.

Users must not record, copy, distribute, livestream, or share class content outside Teach Champs unless they have all required rights and permissions.

Messages and reviews

Parent-tutor chat and other communications must be used for legitimate tutoring-related purposes. Users should not share sensitive information unless it is necessary for the lesson or support request.

Reviews, messages, profile content, and other user-submitted content must be honest, lawful, respectful, and based on genuine experience. Teach Champs may moderate, remove, or restrict content that violates these terms or platform expectations.

Website content

The website and platform content is provided for general information and service operation. Teach Champs does not guarantee that all content is complete, current, uninterrupted, or error-free.

All Teach Champs names, branding, page content, design, software, templates, and platform materials are owned by Teach Champs or its licensors and may not be copied or reused without permission.

By submitting profile details, messages, reviews, uploads, lesson materials, or other content, you give Teach Champs permission to host, process, display, transmit, moderate, and use that content as needed to operate, protect, and improve the service.

Privacy

Teach Champs handles personal information as described in the Privacy Policy. By using the platform, you consent to the collection, use, sharing, retention, and processing described there, including analytics, verification, payment, class-room, chat, recording, support, and safety processing.

No guarantees

Teach Champs does not guarantee tutor availability, tutor performance, academic improvement, grades, admissions outcomes, test results, compatibility, uninterrupted service, or that every tutor claim has been independently verified.

Parents and users remain responsible for verifying claims that matter to them, assessing fit and safety, supervising minors, protecting account access, and deciding whether to book or continue lessons.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Teach Champs is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the website or platform.

Nothing in these terms limits liability where it cannot legally be limited.

Suspension and termination

Teach Champs may suspend, restrict, or terminate access to the website or platform where we believe a user has violated these terms, created risk for others, interfered with the service, provided inaccurate information, or used the platform in a way that may harm Teach Champs or its users.

Certain records may be retained after suspension, account closure, or deletion where needed for safety, security, legal compliance, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, payment records, or platform integrity.
