How tutors are paid
Learn how tutor rates, Teach Champs platform fees, and secure payout setup work from your first lesson onward.
Simple, transparent tutor payments
There are no signup or subscription fees. You choose what you charge, and Teach Champs keeps a flat 15% platform fee from each payout.
Set your own rate
You decide the price of your lessons. Set your own rate in one of the currencies supported by Teach Champs, then keep your pricing current as your experience, subject, or lesson format evolves.
There are no signup fees and no subscription fees for tutors. You only share a portion of your lesson earnings when you are paid.
Understand the platform fee
Teach Champs charges a flat 15% platform fee on tutor payouts. You receive the remaining 85% of the lesson price, before any obligations that may apply to you personally, such as taxes or bank charges.
A clear example
For a lesson priced at $100, the 15% platform fee is $15 and your tutor payout is $85.
Complete your payout setup
After your first lesson, when you are ready for a payout, Teach Champs will invite you to provide your financial information through a secure link. This is a one-time setup.
The payout provider may ask for information such as:
- your legal and contact details.
- your bank account information for receiving payouts.
- identity, tax, or other verification details required for your country.
Your information is collected through the secured payout flow so it can be reviewed and verified before payouts are enabled.
Get ready for your payout
Once your information has been reviewed and verified, payouts become straightforward and faster to process. Keep your payout details accurate and respond promptly if the provider asks for an update.
Your lesson earnings are tracked after each completed lesson and become available for payout once the applicable payment and review steps are complete. Teach Champs will use the payout details you set up to send your eligible earnings.
